AFTER-PROM PARTY

“Abracadabra” is the theme for this year’s Orange High School after- prom party. The evening will include casino games, volleyball, dancing, food, memory photographs, raffles and many great prizes.

Howard Perlmuter, an Orange High School alumni, will be the disc jockey.

The students also will be entertained by magician Manny Sperling, who will do close-up magic and sleight-of-hand tricks throughout the night.

The junior class parents and the high school PTA have co-sponsored the after-prom party since the mid-1970s. This party provides students with safe, fun, late-night entertainment.

‘”Abracadabra” will be held in the Orange High School commons on April 30 from midnight to 4 a.m. It begins immediately after the OHS prom, which will be held at the Wellington Party Center in Highland Heights.

Tickets will be on advance sale for two weeks, starting April 18. Tickets are $7 pre-sale and $9 at the door. All OHS junior and senior students are encouraged to attend. Prom attendance is not re-quired, nor does one need a date to attend after-prom.

Co-chairing the event are Barbara Garson and Barbara Franklin. They will be joined by close to 60 parents to help serve refreshments, run the “casino” and chaperone the party.
